With the proliferation of A.I. it is logical for many to assume that it was used in the photo restoration process. If A.I. is used, it is for damage repair only such as removing spots, stains and scratches etc simply because it is faster than doing it manually.
It is never used to make any material change to the photos. Rest assured that what you are seeing is as much as possible, an accurate representation of the original photo.
